Steamed Ramen
Steamed Ramen Noodles
The past couple of days have been chilly over here, and I found myself craving a warm noodle dish. Since I love steaming vegetables, I decided to combine them with noodles to create a cozy and satisfying meal. Gently cooked sweet vegetables paired with a flavorful sauce made the noodles so tasty — it turned out to be the perfect weekday lunch!

Sauce:

Instructions:
Bring a pot of water to boil. Cook the ramen for half the time listed on the package, then drain and rinse under cold water to remove excess starch.
Cut the cabbage, bok choy, carrot, and scallion into bite-sized pieces.
In a small bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients.
Place the noodles onto a heatproof plate or parchment paper set in a steamer. Layer the vegetables and pork belly slices on top, then pour over the sauce and drizzle with sesame oil.
Steam for about 5 minutes, or until the pork is cooked and the vegetables are tender.
Mix everything together and enjoy your warm, cozy bowl of steamed ramen!
Tips
Don’t overcook the noodles!
Boiling the ramen only halfway keeps them bouncy and prevents them from turning mushy after steaming.Slice vegetables thinly.
Thinner cuts of cabbage, carrot, and bok choy steam quicker and more evenly, making every bite tender and flavorful.Use parchment paper for steamer
Lining your steamer with parchment if not using a heatproof plate, it prevents sticking but also makes cleanup a breeze!
